Sweeeeet =)

I Love You =)
Yes, YOU!
You, you, you!
Life at home hasnt been very fantastic lately...due to some...domestic problems. HAH.
But life outside has been fantastically fabulous. *grinning from ear to ear*
Thanks to all my lovelies who made the effort to celebrate my 22nd.
I've been busy going out EVERYDAY till late, meeting up with loved ones and having free treats. HAHAH!
And then I realised that I havent been spending time with...myself.
I believe that all of us, if not most, must spend some quality time with ourselves.
Selfish time that allows us to think, to reflect, to whine, or to just daydream.
I need that kind of personal space every now and then.
So, because I have no plans on the 25th, I decided to find a quiet and peaceful spot to read some books, drink some tea, have some cakes, and act tai-tai. *hee*
And because I'm from the Upper East Side, I settled down at Teasire (Coffee Bean was so crowded! I'm anti-crowds, by the way), which was unsurprisingly empty but comfy, comfy, comfy. =)
Service was great, Rising Sun with Rose Buds and Oreo Cheesecake were yumyums. *satisfied look*
The tea was refillable, fyi. The observant staff (or probably she was very free due to lack of customers) would come by and fill it up when it was half-emptied.
Then I received a video call from Sin Choon and gang, who were all shocked that I was alone on my actual birth-day.
I was shocked that they were shocked. HAHAH.
Cos what's normal to me wasnt normal to them.
My dears, I'm NOT anti-social okie! I just need some time with myself. =)
Anyway, I'd love to spend the whole night there, but needed to get home to prevent more domestic problems from happening. *tsk tsk* Life sucks at this point.
Ahem.
So that was 25th for you. =)
*** *** ***
Alas!
Finally got to meet up with my Gossipys the very next day.
Gawd. So long never see them. Miss them terribly!
Lucky or not, they didnt change much.
Still as crazy, funny and bitchy as ever.
They're both looking for jobs at the moment, having just graduated from uni and ORD-ed.
Enjoyed their job-hunting/interviews stories, especially Lester's interview with SIA for the air-steward post. Hilarious.
Had dinner at Mini Steamboat Delight at PP. I was abit worried that my stomach couldnt take it, but thankfully, all was cool. =)

After dinner, Lester aka Beatrice brought us to some shopping centre at Katong where there's a cheap karaoke place.

Turned out that it was fully booked, even though its location was quite ulu and appeared 'indecent'.

Still adamant of singing K as our after-very-full-dinner activity, Beatrice Yong brought us to another karaoke place at, listen good, Chai Chee Community Centre.

Nope, we didnt sing any dialect songs with any senior citizens.

Anyway, the zhong dian was the cheap, cheap and cheap price that we paid to sing for 3 hours.

Only $9.60 nett per person. Tell me, cheap anot!

But then again, you get what you pay.

The sound system was quite lousy and the MVs were rather blurry.

But I totally enjoyed myself during that 3 hours. We were all super high, especially LustyLester, who danced and pranced all night long. I wonder where he got all the energy when he was as skinny as a bamboo!

Oh wells! I'm not complaining. He's really one of a kind. =)

How I wish I could upload our videos/MVs here. They sure can light up your day. =)

Super entertaining, super hilarious and maximum pleasure.

Let me know when you feel down/sad. I'll play you the videos. *grinz*

Okie.

Time to share my most disgusting and terrifying (ever!) encounter after our k-session.

Nope, I didnt bump into flashers or ghosts. It's twice or maybe thrice as worse than that!!!

*trying to calm down while recollecting the incident*

Okie, here's what happened. In brief.

Brace yourself...

...

...

...

...

...

A. FILTHY. MOUSE. BRUSHED. BY. MY. LEFT. FOOT. WHILE. IT. SCURRIED. OUT. FROM. ITS. FILTHY. HIDING PLACE.

Okie, you may scream now.

I can totally feel its dirty, spiky body braaaa-ing past my foot now. YUCKS!

That was the ultra-ultimate most gross sensation ever!

You may wonder why none of us noticed that big fat rat scurrying towards us.

Oh wells.

Our skinny friend LESTER YONG CHANG JUN saw the stinky-icky-yucky creature hiding under the dustbin and didnt have the basic courtesy to inform us.

And when he, being the first one to witness the stinky-icky-yucky creature scuttering out of its hiding place, shouted, "老鼠!!!!!!!!", and jumped neatly out of the way, everything was too late.

Shalyn and I screamed and jumped on the spot, like doing some kind of spastic tap dance, hoping that we won't have any contact with the stinky-icky-yucky rat.

But it was too late.

My foot kena it. And my sandals too.

COS LESTER YONG CHANG JUN TOLD ME THAT HE SAW ME STEP ON IT!!!!!!

*shivers and then faints*

I seriously have NO idea that my spastic tap dance moves would cause me to step on the last-creature-you'd-want-to-have-contact-with. I absolutely have no idea that I stepped on it.

Oh wells. Guess I was too engrossed in my tap dance that I couldnt think properly.

URGH!!!!

I am still seriously traumatised by this late-night encounter, so much so that it has left a scar in my beautiful life.

Okie. Enough. The more I talk about it, the more I can feel what I felt at that 0.5 seconds when the rat brushed past my foot, the more I'd get goosebumps, and the more I can't sleep later (gawd it's 2.30am now!!!).

Stupid rats.

*** *** ***

Woke up the next day to the smell of ba-zhangs. Heavenly smell that is. =)

Getting ready to head out for lunch with Mal!

Okie. I'm totally into the Korean craze now. No prize for guessing why.

Love their culture, love their language, love their food, love their dramas, love their namjas. Love their everything. HEHS.

I'm teaching myself Korean language, and am now able to recognise some of their writings! So cool lah!

Korean words appeared to me as weird symbols in the past. But now, I'm totally amazed by their writings. Each symbol actually represents a vowel/consonant sound that is now romanised by the Korean government for the benefit of foreigners who wish to learn the language. For people like me! =)

Okie, I can go on forever, but I'm tired.

To cut long story short, we had lunch at Thai Express, shopped ard Tamp One, and then chilled at J.CO (another of my fave hangout now).

Thank you, my friend, for the pretty card and lovely present!

It was nice and fun catching up with you!!! =)

Okie.

Wish you well and happiness.

Wish me sweet dreams that are rat-free.

Till the next post. =)

Welcome to the 22nd Club.

The 22nd Club.
Oh wells.
One year older. *tsk tsk*
Though I dun feel any difference (I'm still adamant in staying forever 21! PS. I'm not advertising for my fave boutique aye!) in being 21 or 22.
With the exception that I was not as excited in celebrating 22nd than I was last year.
But a huge and grateful THANKS to my dearies who made the effort to make me feel so special and so loved (gawd, I'm so emotional now I feel like wailing!).
Your company really meant a lot to me, cos that is something my family can't really give me.
Ahem. Time to digress.
Met up with my long-time friends for dinner at Shillawon, a restaurant that serves Korean cuisine, BBQ-style at Suntec.
The food was not bad, but guess I didnt cook the meat thoroughly, cos I got tummyache few hours later.
Hate it when I have to LS outside, especially right before our movie. And dun get me started on the pain! It was like a food-poisoning kind of pain (I knew it cos I always have the same kind of pain everytime I ate sth wrong!)
Sigh.
What a thing to happen.
Oh wells. I survived and was just in time for Night in the Museum 2. Go watch it if you havent!=)
Okie. Photos!

Hui and me acting stupid. -_-"

He might be the one who caused my tummyache...TSK TSK TSK.

Because Shillawon doesnt provide desserts, we headed to I-forgot-the-name-but-it's-sth-like-Crystal-Jade restaurant where Celes had her dinner there, and we had our desserts too. Then Minmin joined us when we were almost done. =)

Lately it has been the same.

Dinner first, then movie.

It seems like that's all we can do nowadays.

But I'm not complaining. =)

Movie ended quite early and we didnt feel like heading home that early.

So we went to Xin Wang (Xiang's favourite hangout) and slacked.

As the saying goes, "Less is more."

Although it was just an ordinary dinner-then-movie day, the simplicity of it all was what I like.

It's who you're with that counts, not what you do or which posh place you dine in.

Too bad Tiong was not with us, or it'd be even better. =(

Sigh.

Having lots of emotions on my 22nd. Soon it'd be 23rd, then 24th, then 25th, then...I can't imagine anymore.

URGH!

Hate to admit, but we're all getting old.

Even those born in 90's are hitting the uni/poly already!

Gawk.

But one good thing of turning one year older: I'm getting closer to becoming more independent!

By independent I mean being self-sufficient, owning a place that you can call your own, and perhaps travel around the world. I'd also love to try and live and work in another country (mind rooting for S. Korea!).

That's what I want to achieve after my bond.

Shall work hard towards that goal then!

Jacie baby, fighting! =)

Unexpected surprises.

Totally Baffled, Absolutely Touched. =)
I thought it was just a normal gathering/outing/meetup with them.
Eleanor was commenting on how nice Mad Jack is and how nice the ice cream at Island Creamery is, so she organised the trip.
Plus I havent been to Bukit Timah area before, so thought it would be fun to explore the west.
Never did I ever ever expected that I'd get punked.
HAHAH.
No words can describe how I felt that day, cos I totally never expected it.
Frankly speaking, I wasnt in a very good mood that day cos I have some problems with my parents. So my mood wasnt pretty at all.
And it sort of affected them all.
Very very very sorry for that, my dears!
You have all planned and organised the day so nicely and I almost ruined it! =(
Mian! (korean for sorry!)
But things definitely picked up, and because of all your love, I'm much much better!!!
Kamsahamnida~! =)
Time for pictures!
Me posing with four fingers that represent 22...hate to acknowledge it, but yeah, that's how old I am...NOT yet! Hee hee~
Anyway, heard that they tried to stall for time by distracting me and stuff...
And all the while I didn't even notice their winks and silent giggles!
Then out of a sudden, the staff from MJ brought out the cake from nowhere...
Boy, was I pai seh to the max!
Luckily the place was empty! Seems like we've booked the entire restaurant! HAHAH.
My lovely dearies who are all so good at plotting surprises... =)
GAWD. I looked so cui~~~!
Very, very, very happy to receive the present. There's only one in the whole wide world! I feel sooooo loved! Thanks peeps!
I was 'forced' to pull out the candles with my mouth. Luckily there were only four! And they were so hard to pull out can! Plus, none of my dearies told me that I zou guang... -_-"
Picture at Island Creamery is with Eleanor, so I'd jump straight to K-boxing! =)
It was fun, but I'd loved it even more if some actually sing using the mics!
Anyhow, I got to experience my friends' singing, which was two thumbs-up! =)
My 2nd bouquet of flowers. Sweet.
A few more pics of my princess-cut storage box from MUJI, delicately designed by Tzu, a princess herself. =)
The hearts and pearls and ribbons are all hand-pasted by her! HEART IT!
And the gift came at the perfect timing cos I needed it!
Was cleaning my room and I have no place to keep all my accessories!
So the gift was just perfect!

Overall, I was seriously moved cos no one has done so much for me. Made me feel so loved. Especially after engaging in a cold war with my parents.

And I wasnt used to having people doing so much for me and making me feel so special. So I was really fortunate that I have this bunch of friends, and to think that we've only known each other for 1-2 years!

Whatever it is, I'd treasure my friendship with each and every one of them and love them with all my heart!

Thanks dears! =)

Two outings with XY =)

Eat, Shop and Cycle!
Was happy when XY asked me out!
You know how 'often' it was for her to ask me out?!? HAHAH.
Went shopping at town and lunch-ed at Shokudo yet again. I've been on a eating binge lately and I feel so sinful! Oh. What the heck. Just look at the food. Who can resist the temptation?!?!
Because we ate so much, there is a high need to burn off the extra calories.
So we decided to go cycle the next day!
And we cycled from ECP to Changi and back to ECP for a whooping 4 hours straight (but we stopped for a few times to pop some sweets and quench our thirst)! More than 20km can! Dun play play hor!
Oh how I miss cycling! Havent been cycling for AGES. Luckily the weather was great. Thankful for that.
Enjoyed the scenery along the way.
Saw a huge green spider on the track.
Witnessed a guy flying off his bicycle.
Drank tasty and cooling sugar cane with lemon at Changi V.
Laughed at XY's clumsy moments.
Got my tan too. =)
Simply exhausted after the ride.
And something came 'uninvitedly', which totally ruined our dinner plan. Grrrr....
Anyhow, it was a fun and healthy day.
But I never expect what the next day will bring to me, which I shall continue later.
Gotta sleep now, and my lappie's dying.
Till then.

Potluck at Tzu's :)

Potluck at Tzu's =)
I've never had potluck before, so this was a maiden experience for me.
Didnt really expect much, but it turned out to be super-duper fun!
Food was yummy, yummy, yummy!
SC n P prepared toasted sandwiches in all sorts of delicious flavours: mushrooms&cheese, sardines, curry sardines, tuna mayo all topped with melted cheese! Yum Yum Yum! =)
Tzu ordered 933 Golden Pillow (curry chicken hidden in a huge bread) and shepherd's pie. Yum Yum Yum!
Ele bought Chewy Junior. Sinful but nice! Yum Yum Yum!
As for me, I baked my specialty cookies! Yum x10! Hee~
At the kitchen, where SC, Tzu and P preparing the ingredients for the sandwiches... =)
Because I've done my part and there's nothing much for me to help out in the kitchen, I decided to mess around, oops, I mean, look around Tzu's house (it's so pretty!).
Trying to act emo here~(-_-")
Ele also trying to act emo. HAHAH.
Finally the sandwiches are ready! Began munching it straight away. It's surprisingly yummy! Hahah!
This is the 933 Jin Zhen Tou I was talking about. Huge, isnt it?
Tzu cutting up the equally huge shepherd's pie for all of us.
Can't describe how delicious it was. You have to try it yourself. =)
Okie. Dun be mistaken. My friends arent petty. The 'golden pillow' is NOT my birthday cake. It just happened that my birthday is coming, so they wanted me to pretend it IS my birthday cake. Honestly, they just wanted me to cut the bread for them. Tsk tsk. But I'd still love them. =)
The curry chicken was quite nice! Spicy level was just right. Good!
Lunch was sumptuous, but we were stuffed. So it was time to play to burn off the calories!
First, we tried the super-fun keyboard which Tzu bought from Japan and brought it back all the way here! The keys light up so the gundu, oh I mean, clueless, player can play a complete song by following the lighted keys. Cool, huh?!? HAHAH.
Time for Wii!!!
Didnt know Wii can be sooooooo fun! Especially when so many people are playing it! Super interactive. I like!
Walking to the station to pick Sha up...
The couple made more sandwiches for Sha!
After 2nd round of eating, we explored Tzu's princess room. Very pinky, lacy, girly. Just like a princess can! And she has a piano and a bathroom in her room! Envy, envy, envy!!! =)
We forced her to play some tunes for us cos she was reluctant to play. HAHAH.
And then Sha did a belly dance for us cos she's learning it. Of course, she was reluctant at first. But after much cajoling, she relented. Hee hee.
Time passes when one's having fun.
Soon it was time for us to leave.
Had a group pic before we left. A must-have! =)
Overall, I enjoyed the potluck very much. Though it was superduper hot that day, all of us were enthu and game for almost everything. I really enjoyed their company. Much much! Looking forward to more potlucks! And more Wii!!! *wheee~!*

Just a quick note...

Short and Sweet.
Hey peeps!
I know I havent been religiously blogging cos recently I've been busily lazy/ lazily busy... HAH!
I've got a bundle of photos from past outings that I've yet to upload.
So many things to do and so little time! (eh actually I've got loads of time lah...my Procrastinating Gene is on the works.)
Anyway, I'm dropping a short and sweet note just to show that I'm still alive and kicking.
Holiday has been awesome so far (even though I'm stuck in SG!).
Piano lessons have been fun but tough.
Meeting up with friends has been fun and sweet.
Shopping has been enjoyable. Always.
And of course!
BOF has and always will be nice to watch and rewatch again! (Just bought the DVD. It comes with a giant poster! Sweet.)
But life's not called life without some frustrating/upsetting/annoying moments.
How can one be happy every single moment of every single day?!?!
Oh. Maybe it's possible.
If you watch this:

HAHAH.

A short and sweet note this is.

Take care my loves. =)

Mind Cafe/JACKPOT!!!

NIE friends' outing =)
The History Girls headed to Mind Cafe after exams for some serious boardgaming!
Here's Lynn and Grace...

That's Evelyn and SinChoon!

And here's yours truly... =)

Okie that's it.
Not really into taking photos nowadays...
Guess my digicam must be feeling neglected!
There were others around, so sorry Malinda, Joyce and Chris for not capturing ur cute moments! Hehs.
Went down to Vivo alone later to do some serious shopping! Like, really serious.
F21 gave me a huge and warm welcome, cos they've been missing me for weeks and weeks!
And so, to reciprocate them, I bought two blouses and a pair of berms!
I'm so nice huh.
Wanted to shop somemore, but the increasing size of the crowd began to annoy me, so I retreated home not without my prized possessions. *woots!*
*** *** ***
Went to watch Wolverine with some of my NIE friends...
I was glad to catch this show cos it's awesome! You should go watch it if you havent. =)
Anyway, the most extraordinary thing happened to us at GV!
You see, GV is having this Jackpot thingy as a kind of lucky draw if you purchase more than 3 movie tickets.
So we got the card that entitled us to have one try at the jackpot.
GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!
WE HIT IT!
OMG.
WE WON the ONE-FOR-ONE STARCRUISE PRIZE!!!!
We four girls screamed in disbelief when the last slot (there were five slots, fyi) was a perfect match with the previous four. That's like so amazing can! Uber lucky!
And there was this group of TPJC students who were behind us waiting for their turn...
They were, like, so kay-poh to know what kind of prize we won.
When they found out, one of them shouted, "Holy shit! They won the starcruise!"
MUAHAHAHA.
So I turned around and said, "Yeah! HOLY SHIT!"
Heh heh.
The feeling was pretty satisfying.
And since the prize is for two people and there were five of us including one couple, naturally the one-for-one cruise trip went to the couple below.
Sinchoon and Philip =)
Hopefully when the two of them do get to go on the trip, they dun return...as three! Hehs. You know what I mean. *winks*
Oh, oh, oh!
We saw Zhou Chongqing the 933FM DJ and then Shawn Chen Hong Yu at Tampines One!
Although not a fan of theirs but still pleasantly surprised to see them...
And yup that pretty summed up the exciting events that happened to me these past few days...
Hope my life gets more exciting from now on!
And one more exciting news on the road!
Channel U will be airing Boys Over Flowers on every Saturday at 9.30pm. The first episode is on May 16th.
Woo-hoo~~
Watch it people!
*wide grinz*

F4 and Jandi...

I love this pic! It's amazing that all of them can look so...so...so...shuai in one shot! I mean, when you take a group pic, it's hard to get one shot that everyone in it looks so good together! Know what I mean?!?!
Nvm if you dun.
Cos you're not in my league.
Hehs.
Till then, take care my friends! =)
