See you in 17 days' time...

Miss me!
Oh yesh.
If you havent already heard...
I'm going to Chiang Mai for my Youth Expedition Project, and it'll be a 17-day trip.
Long long trip, eh?
*sigh*
I was pretty hyped up for this trip, but after knowing the messy/rowdy/unpredictable/unstable situation at bkk, I'll be lying if I said I wasn't worried.
But nevertheless, we'll still going ahead with the plan, and hopefully nothing will go wrong...
*cross fingers*
Meanwhile, I'm going to learn how to survive without my laptop, make-up, my luxurious home, and of course, my beloved papa, mama, korkor and (how can I forget) my dear BeBe.
Look how 'sad' BeBe was...
So 'sad' that she had to go for a sun-tanning session.
My gosh, BeBe is so cute lah.
I'd definitely missssssssssssssssssssss her.
And of course I'll miss you guys...
Better pray hard that I'll be back in one piece okie!
And you better miss me too!!!!!!!
Cos I can't blog for two whole weeks. And three days.
Oh wells.
In case you miss me toooooo much, here's my pic for you to adore.
If it still can't satisfy you and if you are loaded, well, there's such a thing call handphone and overseas call. But I'd prefer SMS.
Ahem.
As if I'll be missed so much by you people. *rolls eyes*
Okie, gotta go.
Must watch finish my Lei Huo Xiong Xin II by tonight. I've still got 14 more episodes! *tsk tsk*
Meanwhile, take care everyone!!!
=)))

Early birthday celebration for XY...

We were at...
My Secret Garden.
As the restaurant is located at a oh-so-secretive ulu corner, I had problems finding it (even though I've been there before) and we walked round and round.
My poor memory is failing me yet again.
But in the end we managed to find it. HAH!
There wasnt many diners, so it was relatively peaceful and quiet.
And the ambience was great!
Anyway, I decided to celebrate XY's 21st earlier cos the both of us will be at Thailand for different causes on her birthday.
So the dinner was a treat and part of my gift to her.
I know it's too early to shout this, but
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY DEAR KA-TCHENG!
(you can always re-visit this post on 15th Dec and pretend I'm wishing you happy birthday. *hehs*)
Enough words. Pictures time!
She ordered Roast Chicken, which is only available on Fridays & Saturdays. And it's one huge half-a-piece chicken, mind you! Just the look of it will make you full. But it's yummy!
That's me in my new hairdo and with my Crayfish & Scallops Spaghetti, which is not very special but the scallops and crayfish were fresh!
Managed to do quite a bit of catching up cos it's been so long since we saw each other.
Finally main courses were over, and we called for desserts.
And while waiting...
Our desserts: Tiramisu and die die must definitely try Hot Date with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. Oh man, the Hot Date is soooooo tantalising and one bite of it brings you to paradise! It is so much better than the spaghetti. *hehs*
After the full-to-the-brim dinner, we walked around to take photos and burn the calories.
Outside Raffles City...
I have no idea why the Xmas tree didnt light up when the lighting was there all the time.
See?
She tried to act stupid, but failed terribly cos she's not! NUS student leh, how stupid can you get?!?!? *hahahaha*
Okie. This is, erm, a bit, erm, silly. Have no idea what she's trying to do.
Kuku us planned to take bus to T3, but we ended up at the train station cos we were just going with the flow. We were so kuku.
At tcc, T3.
She got me a book! The Five People You Meet in Heaven. Thanks, dear!
It was fun catching up and talking about things in life.
To XY:
Make sure you bring my present to Thailand and open it on your birthday and make all your friends jealous of you for having such a kickass present! *hahah*
And hope you have enjoyed the dinner and the night.
Take care and good luck to your exams! =)

Curly hair has resurfaced.

Curgly ugly hair has come back to haunt me.
Which means it's time to go for rebonding. *tsk tsk*
*shouts* I LOVE J.CO doughnuts!!! =)
Had super duper yummy J.CO doughnuts to fill my growling stomach. Eleanor's were from Donut Factory cos she thinks their doughnuts taste better, which I beg desperately to differ.
J. CO IS STILL THE BEST!
Their doughnuts literally melt in your mouth cos it's so light and not as 'doughy' as DF...
But well, to each of her own. =)
We went to Art Friend to search for some materials to decorate something, but too bad they didnt have what I want, so ended up buying nothing.
Rushed down to Queenstown to meet up with dear lustylester.
He's still the same - tall, skinny and as crazy as ever. Plus he still have his wrist sling on.
My 'poor' friend...wonder when he's going to 'get well'. Perhaps in another five months' time. *winkz*
Why is it so difficult to find a nice and cool Eastpac backpack?!?!

I've been searching high and low everywhere, but can't find one that will catch my eye to let love blossom at first sight. *sigh*

Shall keep on trying then...

Next up is IKEA!!!!

There's a child in every adult. That's the reason why we never grow up. =)
Eh...what kind of animal is that???
The cute puppy wanna get out! Any keepers??
It's so freezing at IKEA. Not.
For our Phonetics lecturer, Ludwig...
A super duper huge giant clock! So cool...
Because I die die refused to give up on my backpack, my two lovely friends accompanied me to mustafa to continue the search. *hah!* Love them!
And then guess what?
Mustafa doesnt have any too. *grrrrrr*
Oh wells. *resigned to fate*
While outside the fitting room waiting for Eleanor...
(I HATE MY HAIR.)
Lester was so exhausted after a day of 'avoiding arrows' at work that he collapsed on a bed of, erm, jeans.
Now that's a TOP MODEL pose!!! Well done!
Why is Eleanor taking sooooooooo long???
My skinny-but-dreams-of-becoming-Mr.-Muscle friend bought a 10KG weight from Mustafa. I'm so proud of him. *hahaha*
Because of the long day and the heavy weights, we decided to take cab.
Waited damn damn long at the taxi stand, but all the cabs were on call.
And being thrifty, we didnt want to pay the booking surchage, so we walked all the way out to the main road, where we find other thrifty people like us. *hehs*
No wonder no taxi uncle wanna stop for us. See below.
*ahem* Let me chu ma...
The tak-glamness, plus Lester's shouting "Wa lang si deng lang, going Bedok!" when one taxi uncle drove past with his windows rolled down suddenly braked and beckoned us over.
And we got in!
The other thrifty people were still waiting can!
MUAHAHAH.
Turned out the uncle is going back to Tampines...so he could afford to pick us up.
What a coincidence huh??
But I think if Lester didnt shout that out, we'd probably be stuck there for hours.
Well done, lustylester!!!

UPDATES!
Went to rebond my hair the first thing in the morning. *woo-hoo!*
NO MORE CURLY WURLY FURLY WHAT HAVE YOU!
Peace.

A New Me.

Back for More.
Now that I've totally regained my F-R-E-E-D-O-M and life of no-more-mugging-until-2009, I have the time to do all sorts of things.
Let's see...
I'm gonna watch my LHXX vcd which has accumulated a certain thickness of dust (it's still nicely wrapped up okie! which shows that I DID NOT watch it during exams. *ahem*).
I'm gonna workout at gym (if I'm diligent enough).
I'm gonna shop till I drop (or till my acct burst).
I'm gonna play Facebook nonstop (exaggerating lah).
I'm gonna take lots of pictures (silly, sexy, crazy, pretty - you name it, i'll deliver it!).
I'm gonna meet up with my friends (people, pls jio me out okie! It's time to party!).
I'm gonna clean my room (or maybe not - see my mood first).
I'm gonna bring my parents to the Sg Flyer (that's for sure).
I'm gonna suntan, suntan, suntan (provided that it doesnt rain. Like, duh!).
I'm gonna prepare myself for the Chiang Mai trip (which means shopping).
But the most important 'gonna' here is...
I'm gonna start anew (no more MMY, no more silly i-know-what).
So many things to do within 11 days before I fly off to CM. *tsk tsk*

Poor little birdie outside my room's window for a long long time, sheltering itself from the drizzle.
Can you see that its entirely wet?
Poor thing.
I still remembered I wrote a composition (not essay yet) in primary school (forgot which year), which was about "If I were an animal, what would I be and why?"
Seriously dunno what my English teacher was thinking.
Anyway, that's not the main point.
The main point is, I actually remembered what the topic was. Li hai hor.
So after pondering among rabbit, bird and fish, I chose to be a little bird so I can fly around and be free in the sky (this implies that I crave for freedom, not the desire to become an SIA flight attendant).
Eh...I forgot what other reasons I gave, but that's not very important.
Actually this whole thing is not very important. Just have the tendency to think back of the past, be it primary or secondary school or poly life...
Must be FB lah...suddenly so many people reliving old school days... *shakes head*
So. The bird rested for quite a while, so I called for BeBe to take a look.
And my lovely dog dashed over and jumped at the wall, attempting to say hi to the bird. But the little birdie ignored her because the window was closed and so it couldnt receive BeBe's greetings. BeBe was pai seh that her passionate 'hellos' were not reciprocated, and she skulked away sulkily.

I hate rainy days.
They are trouble and they disrupt my plans.
Granted, rainy days are the best time to snuggle in bed, but when you've got errands to run, rainy days are so not welcome.
I planned to go PP to develop photos, so I alighted at Eunos station and planned to take 15.
But it was raining super-duper heavily and there was no covered overhead bridge to the bus stop. Hello??? Time to build one can!
So I walked back and forth trying to find a taxi stand. But hello!!! There's none.
Bo bian. So I walked out to the main road, where cars zoomed past and splashed water onto the roadside where I was standing.
HELLLOOOO???!!!!
Is there a need to go so fast during rainy days??? Huh huh huh????
But alert and smart me managed to duck the waves of water.
I siam and siam until I got on a cab.
Did my errands, which mostly constituted of shopping and more shopping. *hah!*
Okie. My life is beginning to sound boring.
So I shall stop here.
A lovely picture to last you until the next post. *so shy*

Horrible, horrible, horrible.

The horror, the horror.
Today's English paper was horrible.
Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Today's English paper was terrible.
Terrible, terrible, terrible.
Today's English paper was unbelievable.
Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable.
*shakes head*
Oh wells.
What's done is done.
I'm glad my third paper was done.
Although it was done horribly.
One more to go. YESHHHHHHHHHH......
*seeking comfort by indulging in meizhenxiang ba-gua*

Just a quick one...

Hellllooooooo peeps!!!
Everybody doing fine, I hope?? =)
If you're interested, I'm fine cos I'm still surviving...
One paper down and three more to go! =(
Next one is this Friday...
Desperately trying to cram everything into my oh-it's-shrinking-daily brain.
How I enjoy studying man!!! *tsk tsk*
Neeways.
I'm addicted to Facebook. *HAHAH*
So go create one if you havent (I can't believe no one has a FB account now) and get hooked!
Even my NIE lecturer has one! So cool huh???!?!
*hehs*
Okie.
Time to stop procrastinating.
Time to return to my super-duper thick thick thick history notes. *can't wait*
Meanwhile, take good care of yourself, my friend!
=)
p/s: It's time to give him up, if you know what I mean. =(

I'm tired, but still must blog!

I'm tired, but still must blog!
It's 2.04 am and I'm still up. *yawns*
Very sleepy, but I must finish this post. *hehs*
First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Celes, who finally turned 21 yesterday.
Dinner at 85 with her, xiang and nick.
Turnout wasnt quite ideal cos the rest were busy with their stuff, but still! I think we enjoyed ourselves.. =)
Food was yummy, as usual. And the company was great, as always.
Poor Nick kept persuading me to go homeclub with them and trying to make me feel guilty, but lalalalalaaaaa, I ignored him. *hehs*
Clubbing is not my thing. Plus my first paper is in like, what, 3 days' time and still go clubbing? No way!
So xiang and I went back after dinner.
Riding a bike at night is sooooo coooling and shiok! Tks for the ride, man! And can I ask for more of these night rides in the future? *hehs* =)
But seriously, tks for being my listener-cum-adviser to the biggest problem I'm facing in my life now (sometimes it's helpful to get a guy's point of view on certain issues)... *heh heh*
Your advice will be taken into serious consideration, after I've calculated the risks and consequences if I were to heed your advice. *hahah*
Can't believe we talked and talked until 1am plus... Time really flies man...
So thank you thank you thank you! I know you're tired after a day's of training/work, so I really appreciate your company. =))

Retail therapy to prep myself for Doom's Day.

D for Doom.
Received news from my friend that our 'beloved' history lecturer gave v v v v v v v low grades for all essays. Like B to D that kinda grades.
?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!??!?!!!
Those li hai ones got a B or C for their essays, and I emphasise again: they are the li hai ones okie!!!
And I'm not even halfway near their standard lah!!! OMGs.
So.
Die lor.
I'm collecting my essay tmr, which I shall proclaim it as D-day. Not Derrick He Wei Jian's D-day, but wanwan's D-day. D for Doom.
*shakes head*
This is so nerve-wrecking!!!!
Okie.
I shall not think about it anymore. Anyway the grade's already given. Everything's set. No point fretting over it.
But then again, the news totally dampens my mood lah!
Planned to go for a short retail therapy just now, but upon hearing the news...
*haiz*
I still went ahead with my plans.
*hehs*
Sometimes we must learn to take short breaks from studying so after the breaks we'll be more refresh and our brain can absorb more information (this I learnt from the "Examination Tips" from TV Mobile). *heehee*
Anyway.
I dun wanna feel too guilty for spending too much time on shopping, so it was a chop chop trip to TM and good news!!!
I conquered Espirit and Fox and bought four shirts!! *hehs*
Stress was temporarily lifted off my mind. Notice the verb 'was'.
Hope I dun fail my exams because I went for a short shopping trip. Seriously.
ps: HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULINE! Dunno when we can meet up and celebrate, since u r so busy working and I'm so busy studying/working. But I sincerely wish you happiness and a blissful life and may you become Singapore's Next Top Dancer and then move on to become the World's Best Dancer and do us all proud! HAPPY 21st! =)

SLC Jamboree + many other stuff...

My broken sandals that I like so much... =(
Just wanna demonstrate how busy I was the past few weeks that I dun even have the time to shop for new sandals...
So I wore tt broken one until wed, when I finally got the freedom to shop peacefully.
Bye bye my cute sandals... =(
*** *** ***
This week, the school had a bazaar in lieu of SLC Jamboree (my CCA's event).
I helped organised the bazaar okie!
Liaised with all the outside vendors and arranged for their setting up of booths in our school.
Didnt know lots of paperwork/planning/coordination/communication are actually involved to organise such things.
So I learnt alot from it and I'd treasure the experience.
Even though the process can be a little sucky sometimes.
Cos some vendors are simply...well, let's just say they are competitive when it comes to their business, so they tend to be rather annoying.
Anyhow, they are nice people lah.
Our Thailand team also got a booth to raise funds for the hearing-impaired children! *hehs*
And our booth was beside the ATM machine and lift.
Which has got pros and cons. You go figure it out.
Our sales are quite ideal, cos I'm there. *hahah*
Kidding.
That's Ivan, me and malinda-the-'traitor'-cos-she's-from-the-cambodia-team. *hahs*
Corrinne, Lindy, Ivan and Gary.
The absolutely-no-fashion-sense leader. *hahs*

Wanna thank two people here!
First of all, a huge thanks to 李大妈.
She bought a necklace and a thank-you card for me because I lent her my old laptop cos her com was crashed.
But I seriously dun think I deserve it cos I didnt do much!
Only made me pai seh nia.
Anyway, thanks thanks thanks! I really enjoyed working/eating/gossiping with you. Hope that we can work again next sem! =)
The second person is dear dear Hui.
She treated me to Big Os ytd when I didnt even do anything! *hahah*
Also made me pai seh nia.
But I guess she's extremely over the clouds upon her admission to NUS.
She deserves to be a NUSian cos she has worked hard for it. Congrats again and pls, my friend, rmb to save up now cos you and i know that you'll be relying on cabs to travel from work to school, right?! *hahah*
So, a huge and wet THANK-YOU kiss to the both of you. MUACKS!
*** *** ***
To all my friends out there...
If ever I say/do something that really irks you, pls pls pls let me know okie.
Cos 99% of the time, i'm either joking or it's for the sake of teasing/suaning you.
So if you feel offended or wad, just tell me directly on the spot that you are, so I can either apologise for my unintended intentions if it really bothers you tt much, or I can have the opportunity to stand up for myself for making that particular remark.
Cos sometimes, I tend to blurt out stuff without processing them in my brain first, if you know me well enough.
Pls dun drop me a bombshell many days later, saying that my actions/words really hurt you.
Cos by then I would have clean forgotten about them! (which means it's totally unintentional).
And my mood will go from high to extremely low, knowing that I've hurt a friend without even realising it.
It's a sucky sucky sucky x10000 feeling okie!
*sigh*
So remember this, my friends.
We should learn how to pinpoint each other's weakness/mistakes so we can all learn to change for the better.
If not, what are friends for?
*** *** ***
I dunno when I'll update again, cos it's time to get myself into combat mode cos the most hated/feared word that spells E-X-A-M-I-N-A-T-I-O-N is approaching.
Which means it's time for me to bury my head into the getting-thicker-every-sem notes until I am allow to resurface and embrace freedom.
For all my fans out there (*bleahs*), my exam timetable is as follows:
11th Nov: The Social Variation of Language
14th Nov: Modern Southeast Asia
18th Nov: Language Meaning and Use
19th Nov: Early Modern Asia
So shiok rite?
*shakes head*
