Miss me?

Outings.
Haven't been updating, have I?
That's because I'm an extremely busy woman! *hehs*
Busy socialising and also working hard to pull through this sem.
These photos are seriously overdue...taken dunno how many donkey weeks ago at Suntec City (kudos to Eleanor for them)...
I wanted to go MS to search for Moley Phua's 21st present tt day, and Eleanor was nice to pei me eat dinner and Gary joined us as well. But I ended up letting them wait for me cos I was rushing my podcast assignment in school. In the end I took cab down and the taxi uncle was super nice. Can't believe there are so many nice people around me! =)

Fast forward to last Saturday morning.
My dear old momsie suddenly had the urge to handmade popiah. She prepared all the ingredients (with my help of course!) and as usual, it was superduper tastylicious, and it was fun wrapping the popiah too! I can put as much toppings as I like! =)
Lester and Shalyn, if you still remember cos I do, James asked us during our first session at Kelly Services what is our favourite food, and I answered him "Anything that is edible", and he thought I was childish because to his overly matured mind, that was a primary 6 level kind of answer. Of course I was abit pissed at that, but being kind and forgiving, I decided to let it go.
Anyway, the main point is, if you ask me that question again, I'd definitely say that whatever my mom cooks is my favourite food. Nothing in the world can beat that. If ever next time MOE sacks me or it's the other way around, I'd force, erm, persuade my mother to set up a restaurant that will serve all her trademark dishes. And if you, Moley Phua and lustylester are jobless still, I'll consider to hire the both of you as my HR manager and Marketing manager respectively... *hehs*

Same Saturday, at night.
Our Chiang Mai teambonding session at Jumbo Seafood, Clarke Quay.
I think we ate more than that...
That's my teammates for Project Huh? 2008 (Help Us Hear).
Luckily we made a reservation beforehand, if not we won't get a table, given the huge crowd of seafood-eaters patronising the restaurant.
In total I think we ate over $300 worth of delicacies. =)
After dinner we went for coffee at TCC, where we chatted, joked, suan-ed and nua-ed the night away.
*** *** ***
Fast forward again to today.
Had comm skills earlier, and we got to pick our individual oral presentation topic for next week.
My topic is neither difficult nor easy, cos my audience is angry/upset parents, and I have to convince/persuade them of letting their children to participate in the school's fund-raising activities...
So I have to pretend my classmates were boiling mad parents and I have to make a 3-min presentation. Just great.
Train-ed down to orchard to collect my agnes b bag. Love it. *wide grinz*
Train-ed home and had to tolerate a lovey-dovey young couple still in their honeymoon period beside me. Not that I mind. I'm happy they've found their love, but making kissing noises that loudly and saying goosebumps-raising honeyed words? WHERE'S MY IPOD??? *rolls eyes*
Anyway...
Met up with my Gossipy for dinner at Aston Express, Tampines.
I can't believe Aston has opened so many branches around the heartlands. There's two at Tampines can! When's one going to open at Pasir Ris?!?!
The one we went to is just opposite TP, at blk 829.
The food was nice and relatively cheap, but it was the company I have that mattered. =)
We ate, gossiped, ate and gossiped even more. We gossiped so much that we downed two glasses of homemade ice lemon tea each. Actually, not very true lah, I'm just exaggerating. Think Aston added a tad too much of MSG so we got pretty thirsty.
Is it a trend to have a cuppa of coffee after dinner because there's nothing else to do?
Apparently it is so, cos we bus-ed to Starbucks and chilled out there.
Turned out that the manager of Starbucks was our poly mate, and she gave us discount for our drinks and even offered to give us cakes for free (but we only accepted the discount but not the cakes cos that'd be too much of us)! And to think we were not very close with her... That's bloody nice of her hor...
Muahahahah...we are so bloodily silly but cute. Nothing beats the Gossipy.
Our next outing/gathering shall be at the cinema cos Moley has free tix to MIRRORS. *hooray!*
My lovely lovelies...请保持通话!!!
WAHAHAHAH!
Sort of bumped into XY after that, so I went home with her...
Some uncomfortable silences, I feel...
Suddenly can't think of anything to strike a conversation...
So unlike the past, which I miss dearly.
Face it, wanwan.
Things have changed. That's how memories came about.
*** *** ***
I can feel the stress increasing daily. Lots of assignments to be due soon but still not done yet:
  1. Southeast Asia essay
  2. Early Modern Asia essay
  3. Benny's group assignment
  4. Rani's group assignment
  5. Comm. skills oral presentation prepared speech

I'm so dead.

ps: Went TS to search for my lei huo xiong xin vcd part 2. I'm not going to give up until I own one. And hopefully, Ivan the sales rep from TS can help me with it. I remember you and your promise, IVAN! Shall wait impatiently for your good news.

pps: Xiao Hei (my new laptop) is giving me problems again, even after a major operation. I've asked another top surgeon to examine it, and hopefully, Xiao Hei can 起死回生 and serve me faithfully again.

I saw a 巨星 today!!!!

I saw a MEGA SUPERSTAR today!!!
Absolutely cannot believe my luck! Or my eyes!
Guess who I saw just now at Forever 21 (Wisma)???
Quick leh...make a guess!
No?
Okie...I give you a clue.
She's a huge celebrity from Hong Kong.
Still dunno? *tsk tsk*
All right, I shall be kind.
She is pretty and charming and sexy even at her age. And her latest work is Bangkok Dangerous, also starring Nicholas Cage.
Now, if you still dunno who I'm referring to, go find a wall and bang yourself against it.
I SAW CHARLIE YEUNG!!! 杨采妮!!!!!
Hooray!
Still can't believe I bumped into her *snaps fingers* just like that. At F21 somemore.
I didnt notice her at first, as she was dressed totally in black with a black cap.
But it was her huge GUCCI tote bag and GUCCI flats that caught my eye.
She was standing before me at the cashier counter, and when she turned halfway round, tt's when I got a shock.
To make sure I wasnt seeing wrong things (as I have the tendency to recognise people wrongly), I stared and stared (discreetly of course!), and I'm 101% confirmed plus guarantee plus chop it's her.
Fighting the urge to tap on her shoulder and ask her if she's who she is, I attempted to remain calm, like nothing happened.
But how to?!? When a huge superstar like her is just standing in front of me!?
*tsk tsk*
For those who dunno her when you should, this is Charlie:
Pretty hor?!
Bumping into her totally brightens up my day! Which I have no idea why. *hehs*
But I assume there's a huge possibility to bump into celebrities nowadays at town, cos F1 race is approaching and everyone's coming to witness the heart-racing night race!
Even Lewis Hamilton has arrived in Singapore!
So.
Go hang around Orchard road everyday 24/7, and you might get to see Xiao S too! *heehee*
*** *** ***
As I was saying, I went shopping all by myself at town today cos my lovely mother gave me an aeroplane at the last minute. *tsk tsk*
And today's Scotts Isetan private sales, of course I must go right?!? So I did loh.
My gosh...the place's like a battlefield can!
People (mostly women) are fighting against one another to get what they want, and many of them were carrying bags and bags of prized possessions.
I wanted to look at the cosmetics, but it's nearly impossible, so I figured it's best to avoid it.
I went straight to agnès b boutique, which is another mini battlefield, and I saw it.
OH YESH!
It's exactly what I want. The right colour, the right size, the right bag.
So I quickly placed an order, which I have to wait till next week to get it:
*muahahahah* Can strike it off my wishlist liao. Costs me $175.50, after a 10% discount.
It's good to wait this long. *hehs*
Spent 35 minutes queuing to make payment. That's how huge the crowd is.
If you tell me Singapore's economy is going downhill, you're so wrong.
Went to Wisma next, and that's when I saw Charlie.
Bought some clothes at F21. 100 bucks gone.
Fast forward to Far East Plaza, where I got two pairs of shoes: sandals and flats (which my lovely old mother thinks the flats are what monks will wear. *hrmpf* She has absolutely no fashion sense at all, that woman). Byebye my 50 bucks!
Thank goodness I turn 21 this year.
Cos I'm applicable for the growth package! *woohoo!*
Shall wait impatiently for 1st Oct to come. At least my bank account won't be so pathetic. *hehs*
Bag, clothes and shoes I have, so it's time to head home.
Shopping is soooooo fun! =)
ps: My dear Eleanor, I have uploaded the photo you said I forgot to upload. Check it out at the previous entry yeah? =)
pps: Looks like there's no more lie huo xiong xing II vcd in Singapore. Anyone who knows where I can get it pls let me know yeah! Your help will be deeply appreciated. =)
ppps: Can someone watch Connected (保持通话) with me when it opens next wed?!? It's been so long since I last saw my Louis. *hahah*
pppps: BeBe just wanna say hi and bye to you all! Lovely, isnt she. =)

Movie and Dinner with Eleanor, Gary & Jaron

Harlow peeps!
How's life?
Hope it's fine for you all... =)
Well, I'm actually struggling with all my essays and projects and whatsnot, which gives me little time to go shopping, much less to blog!
But here I am, at 12:55AM, posting a new entry with photos! *hehs*
Before I continue, I wanna complain about my newly purchased lappy.
Told u it's 4GB ram right? Which means it's supposed to process info fast, like snaps fingers kind of fast right!?
So wrong.
I dunno why, but whenever I tried to surf the internet, it took AGES for the website to load. I can wait up to 5-8 minutes just for one stupid page to load fully, and when you are already accustomed to fast speed beforehand, there's no way you can tolerate that few minutes of wait.
That's how frustrating it can be, especially when I'm trying to do research for my essay. Waste so much of my time, just to wait for the toolbar to appear. *big sigh*
Can't imagine what we'd do without technology. *tsk tsk*
Okie enough whining.
Apart from chioning my english essay, I still got a life okie!
Met up with Eleanor, Gary and Jaron for Babylon A.D. at GWC and dinner at some ulu but very nice place.
The movie was free, as we've got complimentary tickets.
So we went Great World City to watch it, and it was my maiden visit there! *heehee*
A bit suagu I know.
Anyway, the movie was pretty nice, and Vin Diesel is sooo....big and muscly.
After the action-packed movie, Gary drove us all to some ulu place at Lock Road for dinner.
Seriously, I didnt know Singapore has such eateries around can!
The place is somewhere in the middle of a 'jungle', but the restaurants are definitely unique!
We went to Villa Bali, where it serves Indonesian (Balinese), Thai and North Indian cuisine, and not forgetting, alcoholic beverages.
Food wise, not too bad. And it's not very pricey too. Definitely affordable. =)
But one minus point is, because of its ulu location, it's advisable to drive there, cos I dunno if there are any buses that go there. But according to Gary, the carparks at weekends are full. So...take taxi.
Apart from Villa Bali, there's Villa Frangipani, Verge, and some other restaurants.
There's even a T-Rex at the bottom of the hill! *roars*
Enjoy the photos! =)
They all looked so gloomy because they have to take photos with one another. *hah!*
The place we went to eat is behind us...
Can you see tiny little Eleanor there??
T-REX!!!
It's now 1:23AM.
Buay tah han le...
Need to hit the bed liao...
Take care everyone, and remember to love one another. *hahah*

New laptop!!! =)

I'VE FINALLY UPGRADED!
Oh yesh!
I got a new laptop liao. *twirling ard the room happily*
I've finally upgraded to Vista le. Business somemore. *hehs*
And my ms office has finally 'reached' 2007.
Super happy!
Many, many, many THANKS to Gary for helping me (the computer idiot) to look for the best bargain!
After 'touring' almost the entire Funan IT mall, and almost buying from the 'wrong' person, I got the ACER TravelMate 6292 (12.1", 4GB Ram, 320GB storage space, 3-year warranty, $1890) at Harvey Norman.
Initially it was an IDR lady who served us.
She tried very hard to sell one LG laptop to us, but too bad, we support Acer so we kind of rejected her offer. *hahs*
And I think she was a bit pissed off cos she spent some time in persuading us and her face was a bit black when we said we dun want (erm, maybe it's naturally like that). *hee*
Anyway, when we were about to leave, another salesman (also IDR) suddenly appeared and brought us to the acer laptops, where I eventually got mine, and Gary bought Aspire One too.
Thambi is sure to earn some commissions from our purchases! *hah!*
But he's a very nice salesperson lah~
After that, we met another nice person from the customer service counter, where we went for a lucky draw plus spin and win.
The auntie let me spin twice, and the second time I got two free GV movie tickets (Babylon A.D.)...same for Gary! So we have four free tickets!!! Awesome.
Took a comfort cab home and was amazed by it.
Am I sua-gu, or are all comfort cabs already installed with the mobile TV called iCabTV?
The small LCD touchscreen was installed on the back of the front passenger seat, which allows the passenger(s) to get info on shopping, movies, sightseeing, nightlife, hotels and etc.
I'm utterly amazed by the depth of info the small little thing is providing me, so much so that I didnt notice which route the taxi uncle was taking, until I became suspicious that he was going the extra mile (no pun intended).
In the end my cab fare was $25.70 (from Funan to Pasir Ris during peak hour).
Reasonable? Or did I just get 'chop' by him?
I seriously have no idea.
But heck.
I'm just happy to be home.
Had a long day, and I'm feeling so tired now.
Tons of assignments to do and loads of notes to read.
Thank goodness next week is recess week. *woots!*
Got the time to chiong all my essays.
And also to watch 烈火雄心I & II.
That is, when I buy the VCDs first.

And also to go visiting - Forever 21/ Cotton On/ FOX/ Dorothy Perkins/ Agnes B.

Shit man.
So many things to buy, so little money to spare.
I'm so going to eat grass soon.
:(

Quick update...

Quick updates!
How's ur week peeps? I know this week hasnt ended, but tmr's FRIDAY!!! *yippee!*
I love Fridays! =)
Especially this week's Friday cos there's no history lecture cos it's e-learning week! Which means I'm free!!!
But then hor...I've got YEP meeting...you know...that one loh...about the Chiang Mai trip tt one...
So...it means I still have to go back to school. But then again, the meeting is rather fun, not those kind of dull and boring, so I dun mind going back at all... *hehs*
Anyway, these past few days I've been working hard can...
Chiong-ed my English assignment on Mon and Tues and handed up on Tues...
Slacked the whole of Wednesday at home cos it's officially my free day... =)
Just came back home from TTC Investiture at school...
TTC is our Trainee Teachers' Club, the club of all clubs. So some of us from SLC turned up to show our support. =) Eh...actually, a big part of our reason was the refreshment/dinner provided for all guests. *hehs* We're practical lots okie...
Anyway, the investiture reminded me of the one I had went through during my secondary school years.
As you all know or dunno, I was actually the vice-president of the student council board of PRCS okie... very surprising, I know, and I dunno how I got it, but prolly I managed to seduce, oops, I mean, charm my interviewers and they gave me the post. *hehs*
So we had our annual investiture, which was pretty much the same like TTC's.
All of us (the councillors) had to raise our right hand and say something like a pledge, like how you will have integrity and be righteous and stuff like that...
And then the amusing part came in.
ALL OF US
put our right hand up and our left hand behind our back, and crossed our fingers.
*WAHAHAH*
We Singaporeans are very practical lots, if you know what I mean. *hehs*
So yup, I didnt think I have the chance to attend an investiture ever again, but there I was, from 7-9pm. *tsk tsk*
*** *** ***
I'm getting a new laptop soon! *wide grinz*
I tell you, I'm having such a hard time catching up with the stpd fast-changing technology that I'm so pek check when it comes to school work...
Currently my school's system has changed to windows vista and ms office 2007 (or mb even better? I really dunno), and I'm still using XP. *tsk tsk*
I'm sooooooo far behind that it makes me inferior cos almost everyone else has upgraded to vista. Except me.
And some lecturers, who dun even gave a thought to those still using the old software (ppl like me!), uploaded the notes in the new format.
This means that I can't download it and view it from my laptop, much less print it.
Which means I have to either trouble my friend to send it to me in the format that I can use, or I have to go school and print.
Either way, I dun like it.
Plus, my laptop is really cui now.
So yup. High time to change it.
But the problem is...which model???
Sony Vaio? Acer? ASUS? Fujitsu?
Very ku nao over this.
And I dunno to sell or trade-in my old one...which I'm a bit she bu de cos it has been with me for 3 years le...
*SIGH*
What should I do???
But I know I want a pink one. *heehee*

My weekend is over oh-so-fast!!!

中秋节快乐!!! =)
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!!!
To be honest, I dun feel anything in this particular festival. Prolly because i'm all grown-up and no longer feel the excitement of playing with lanterns and candles and whatsnot.
But I can still remember when I was young, I'd always go to my ah ma's house and play with fire, oops, I mean candles/lanterns at the small mini park downstairs with all my little cousins.
Now?
"Huh? Today is zhong qiu jie meh?"
*hahah*
Seriously, I have no idea. It's when friends started sending me 'Happy mid-autumn day' messages then I recalled it's the time of the year to eat mooncakes.
Anyway, I didnt celebrate this year's MAF (but my mum did. She 'decorated' our hse's balcony by hanging lanterns from the ceiling. Cute.)
Instead I went out with lustylester to prepare a surprise 'party' for our dear dear long time friend, Moley Phua.
I really have to say this here first.
Lustylester, pls help me a HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to your lovely and generous parents for giving me a treat, ya! I feel so pai seh for not paying lah!
Cos his parents open a chicken rice stall at Bedok Interchange (stall's name is Serena, beside the carpark only), and I was saying how much I miss their chicken rice and whether I can go eat it...
People, I am serious. Serena's chicken rice is fricking nice. Smooth but juicy chicken, full of Q-ness char siew, very-the-fragrant rice, sweet-tasting soup, lovely dark sweet sauce and tantalizing chili sauce... *slurpz*
Just the thought of it is enough to make me drool! =)
Pls pls pls go support SERENA!!! I repeat, it's at the hawker centre beside Bedok interchange, and the stall is facing the carpark. You can definitely locate it, cos the signboard is so eye-catching! Be careful, the queue can get long at times! *hehs*
After the fulfiling lunch, we headed straight for bugis in search of Moley Phua's present.
Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, M)phosis, Accessorize - bleah.
Finally saw something nice at Espirit, and I think she'll like it. So we got the brown sling bag for her (I was so tempted to get one for myself too! Cos it's pretty!)
And when her present was finally settled, it's time to search for lester's Ray-Ban glasses.
I tell you, this friend of mine is so hiao until he owns FIVE fricking pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses (almost all are same design but different coloured frames/lenses) and it's still counting.
He wanna get one pair of specs that is plastic-framed, black in colour, squarish, but with no degrees (cos he did lasik but just want to act high-fashion), and die die must be RAY-BAN.
So bo bian...we went to Golden Landmark first and to no avail.
Then to chinatown to get my KOSE mask, and I saw my comm. skills tutor there! Didnt call him, though. *hehs*
While we were searching for the shop that offers cheaper prices for KOSE masks, we heard a woman yell damn loudly, and then followed by a man.
All other patrons stopped whatever they were doing and looked around for the source of the commotion.
I tell you, the man was shouting bloody fiercely lah! Almost like he wanna kill somebody can! Scary.
Got the mask at $28, as compared to the KOSE counters at departmental stores that sell it at $35!!!
It's so much cheaper to buy from chinatown lah! *tsk tsk*
After which, we walked and walked in search of his Ray-Ban specs. But most of the optical shops do not carry it. Poor you. Maybe it's a sign telling you NOT TO BUY ANY MORE RAY-BANs forever and ever!
I was rather tired from all the walk, so we decided to go to Sha's house and give her the surprise.
Waiting for train...
Got a tasty hazelnut cake from Prima Deli, a funky birthday card from Popular, lighters and paper towels from Value Shop at Eastpoint, and off we go!
And then it rained. Troublesome rain.
Wrote the card at the bus stop. *hehs* We are really yong xin liang ku loh!
Called Moley aka Shalyn and demanded her to come down to fetch us in. Why? Cos she lived in condo loh~ Act high class only. *hahah*
The cake, which we finished all by ourselves. Amazing.
She's all so smiley! So I'd take it she's appreciative of our efforts and the element of 'surprise'.
We held the mini celebration under one of the semi-covered walkway cos all the sheltered huts were occupied by other people. So pathetic lah. ("YOU CALL THIS A CONDO? I DUN BELIEVE IT!" - Lester's criticism)
And then it rained heavily again.
So no choice, we had to run for shelter, and we took refuge in the function room.
Being The Gossipy, of course we have to carry out the group's mission, which is to gossip about others. *hehs*
So fun.
Lester with his legs like this, which kenna a 'scolding' from the security guard.
*tsk tsk*
One thing I love about them: they're always game for crazy poses! =)
Okie. That's about it.
I'm tired.
Need to report to zhou gong now.
And I dun want to think about my unwritten essays now.
Oh no, my THREE unwritten essays.
*ARRRGGHHH!*
ps: HAPPY BELATED 21st BIRTHDAY, SHALYN! You better appreciate it man! (I know you will.) =)

Pictures Update!

PICS UPDATE!
3 BIG cheers to Eleanor!
She finally found the time to send me these pictures!
WAHAHAH.
Enjoy!

NIE-SLC Teambonding Day!!!

NIE-SLC TEAMBONDING DAY
It's Saturday.
It's raining.
It's so nice to sleep in.
It's so shiok to laze/slack around the house and do nothing.
But.
It's rather a waste if you dun spend the day doing something, erm, meaningful.
Like go school for teambonding activities.
Like me.
Luckily I drove. So can sleep more. *hehs*
But it was raining heavily on the way to school worz... So heavy that I can't even see the markings on the road. So I must depend on my intelligence and alertness and talent to reach my destination safe and sound. *kekez*
Overall, the session went all right, although not many people turned up (expected lah hor...).
But all of us who went made it all fun and worthwhile.
The games were interactive and hilarious, but the food sux big time man!
I found a strand of hair in my lunch! And then Eleanor discovered another strand! *YUCKS!*
Must be from the same person.
This is so disgusting man.
But we still ate the food lah...not nice to throw the whole thing away when you just started to eat. *tsk tsk*
And then I found another strand of hair...inside the plastic bag that contains the other packets... *yewww*
Dunno who that owner of those three strands of hair is, if not I'll surely recommend Beijing 101 or Yunnan Hair Fall Control to him/her. Not that I've been there before okie. It's just that they look credible, so must be effective loh...
Anyway, I want to show u the banner that the exco team had made for the club...
Paiseh arh...the banner is too huge for my little cute camera to capture...
But hopefully this can make up for it... =)
Sumitha, Gary and Malinda trying to secure our gigantic banner on the wall in the canteen. Nice.
And that was that.
Another Saturday gone.
How will I spend my next one??
I predict...
...I will...
...spend it on...

Gotta start EXERCISING!!!

I adore Wednesdays.
Cos no need to go school (unless got some last-min meeting, like last week)...
Morning went to Heartland Mall with mummy to check out the exercise bike that my aunt and cousin bought and recommended to me...
HM is so pathetic lah...even more worse than WS.
I love WS! =)
Anyway...I bought this from OTO BodyCare:
Kinetic Bike 1000
Cost me $320. Definitely within my budget cos I was prepared to spend at least $800, if I were to buy from AIBI.
And tmr I'll get it! Free delivery somemore! *happy*
But I seriously dunno if it's good or not. But heck lah. I already paid for it.
And that's that.
Mummy then bought the Bio-essence Face-lifting Cream cos I want to try. *ahahah!*
Will announce to the world on its effectiveness. I hope it is! Cos I wanna get rid of my big fat puffy chubby cheesecake face! (Why cheesecake? Cos eleanor and I have been talking about gg to cheesecake cafe for dunno how many donkey days, so I just thought of cheesecake. *HAH!*)
I can only share the feeling of applying the cream onto my face.
It's soooooo cooling lah! Like rubbing ice cubes over and over the skin. But the coolness goes off pretty fast. So...should be okie bah~
And this product was one of the TOP 20 Best Buy (or izzit Must Buy?) featured in XX's blog. If her words can be trusted. Which usually can. *hehs*
Anyway...
I managed to do abit of work before going out again with mummy.
This time round was to visit my wai po. She's still hospitalised lah! One week plus alr can... *sigh*
Doctor said her blood sugar is still on the high end. Therefore must monitor a few more days. *shakes head*
My wai po's 'neighbours' are all old and frail, and it makes me sad to see them so sickly and all.
One of them is senile, I mean really senile.
She keeps saying she wanna go home and she keeps pestering people around her to bring her home.
While we were there, this old woman was sitting with a group of nurses outside the ward. How come, I dunno.
Later, some nurses walked off, leaving a few nurses and the old woman behind.
And then an emergency alarm went off, and the remaining nurses all dashed to one of the wards, now leaving the old woman behind all by herself.
I think the old woman was trying to escape, so she stood up damn slowly, and suddenly, ALL the nurses dashed back to her side and try to hold her in case she fell.
And one of the nurses is actually pregnant and her stomach is bulging one can!
I saw her run towards the old lady. A pregnant woman running leh! So dangerous lah!
Nurses are noble beings. Just like teachers. *hehs*
Anyway, a nurse was looking after the old woman, to prevent her from escaping the hospital, which I believe she is highly capable of doing!
She took a wheelchair and secured the old lady onto it.
The old woman thought she was going home, so she said byebye to all of us, happily announcing that she's going home.
I was just sitting there smiling, and my mum was like, totally into role-playing can! She's like, saying goodbyes to the old lady, asking her to take care and stuff like that.
You know? Like she is thoroughly enjoying her "passer-by" role. *tsk tsk*
Few minutes later, the nurse wheeled her back to her bed, and she didnt seem to remember us at all.
The funny part came when the nurse helped her to the bed, asking her to rest. At first she obeyed, but when the nurse turned around to leave, she kind of yelled loudly, and refused to let her leave.
And then she asked the nurse where she lives cos she wanna go home with her.
As the nurse is from China, she told her that her house is at China, so she cannot bring her back.
The rest of us LOL lah...especially my dear mother, who seemed to laugh the loudest.
Then the old senile lady snapped at the nurse can!
She actually said 你去死!!!!!
But of course, the nurse didnt take it personally cos it came from the mouth of a old senile lady who doesnt even know what she's doing or saying.
This is sad lah, but amusing at the same time.
Then I was thinking...what if next time I become like that?!?
I was looking at all the elderly looking so lost and forlorn and unwanted and useless.
What if I am like that in the next 50 years (supposing I can live that long)???
Suddenly I dun want to grow old.
I want to stay forever 21.
Just like my favourite boutique.
*BOO!*
Dun wanna think about it anymore.
*** *** ***
Threw a quick temper at my mother just now. Which I probably shouldnt, but I just couldnt resist it. *hehs*
I was driving out of the car park at CGH and she was there directing me how to drive and which way to go.
Obviously I know how to drive and I know how to get us back...
She just won't stop shooting orders to me lah!
Then I was fed up and I snapped at her, like the old senile lady. But of course I didnt ask my mother to go die lah! That's so unfilial!
I just told her to shut up and stop telling me what to do.
I hate it, absolutely hate it when someone is yakking beside me while I am driving.
I dun mind if I dunno the routes and you're directing me, then it's fine.
But if I know where I am going, I dun need people to tell me what to do.
It's tt kind of sudden pekchek-ness that caused me to be so frustrated and lose my temper.
I know her efforts were out of kindess, and maybe I should try to refrain myself somemore.
But everything was cool after that.
That's how we communicate. *hah!*
And that's all for now.
Take care peeps! =)

IT'S SOMEONE'S BIG BIG BIG 21ST!!!!!!!!!! *woots!*
Dun say I never warn you.
Best to drop all your work and concentrate here. *HAH!*
Let's start from Sunday's morning...
Woke up super early (after only 4 hours of sleep! *tsk tsk*) to have breakfast with momsie at loyang point.
Went home and baked yummylicious chocolate chip muffins...
Which taste simply heavenly... (of course lah! Must see who the baker is! ME lah, duh!!!)
Slacked abit while waiting for the muffins to be baked...
Finally Xiang returned my smses, and I headed out to hand him his big big birthday present...
Show u guys the process of making it...
Developed LOADS of past photos, and I realised I overdeveloped cos the frame can only fit in so many. And so many more are left untouched. *tsk tsk*
The half-finished product...
And viola! The add-in cool portrait of the birthday boy. Neatly done by Celes using photoshop. *hah!*
I like it so much lah! Now I can understand how Lester and Shalyn felt when they did the same thing for me. Simply adore that kinda feeling when I received that kind of present, so I want my close friends to have the same feeling as I had. =)
Anyway, cos the frame is tooooo huge to carry around (somemore must handle with LOTS of care!), I drove over to his place to give him.
His reaction was...I dunno...pleasantly shocked? Speechless? Super duper touched? You ask him. =)
Some random shots...can scroll past them if you like, or if you dare...
The back view of the new car...ugly right??? Looks like a carbon copy of Mazda cars...
Me being silly with the soft toys while waiting for someone...
Okie.
Before meeting them for dinner to celebrate his 21st, I visited my ah ma in CGH. This time round is my maternal grandma, while the previous time was my paternal grandma. *sigh*
Suddenly realised that my wai po is so old and frail already! *shakes head*
Stayed for a while and I had to leave.
But no worries...my wai po is fine! Still going strong... =)
Now... Comes the main point of this post, and where all the hot and sizzling pics behold! *hehs*
All thanks to Hui and her meticulous planning, we reserved a table at My Secret Garden, located at Middle Road in a very secretive corner whereby not many will give a second look when they walk past it. That's why it's called My Secret Garden. And it's soooooo xiang's style. Cos he's always being so mysterious and secretive when asked about his scandals. *HAH!*
Anyway, it was a total new experience for all of us, and I'm dying to share it with you peeps. *hee*
At the entrance...
The menu, which I think, is quite cui...Not a match to the restaurant's atas image...
A page inside the menu. Nice.
The prices are rather steep, but the service and food will offset it. For sure.
The owner of the restaurant, Ronny, came over and mingled with us for a few times. He's quite friendly, humourous and all, and the best part?
His eyes are not situated on top of his head, i.e. he didnt 'look down' on us just becos we're young or something. Unlike other people I can think of.
So he came over and joked around abit while we waited for our food to arrive.
There were ten of us, and we ordered:
Starters - Calamari rings, mixed platter (spring rolls & samosas) and chicken wings.
Main courses - 1 rib-eye steak, 3 beef tenderloins, 1 salmon steak, 2 oxtails, 2 spicy crayfish and scallop spaghetti plus 1 other creamy spaghetti which I dunno what it is (pai seh) and,
Beverages - countless (*ahem* Non-alcoholic ones okie.)
Dessert - His 'birthday cakes'.
Total cost - Abt $470. His persistent and insistent treat to us, after us attempting to stuff our cash to him. *tsk tsk* THANKS XIANG~!
My medium-well beef tenderloin with potato, broccoli and red wine sauce... *yummy*
X's medium-rare rib-eye steak with potato, broccoli and red wine sauce...*yummyyumz*
Peimun's salmon steak... Not bad too. =)
Didnt get a chance to take the starters and the other delicacies... If you want to see, go order it yourself. *hehs*
While waiting for our food to be served...
Minmin and me =)
Me and shou xing gong =)
All of us... =)
Dinner was simply fantastic, and before we knew it, it was time for dessert...
Actually, a plot between the manager and Hui was already planned beforehand.
As it was the rule of the restaurant not to bring in outside food, we can't have birthday cake from elsewhere, and MYSG does not offer birthday cakes as well.
But the manager was very nice indeed. He offered his help to make the occasion as special as it can be. =)
The plan went like this...
After clearing our fully wiped-out plates, the waiters switched off all the lights in the restaurant (luckily there were only us!), and all of us, except the birthday boy, knew what was happening and acted blur.
He was like, what happened huh? Short circuit?!?
Nah...
When it was all dark and gloomy, there came a romantic 'Happy Birthday' music and one of the waiter approached our table slowly with a special 3-in-1 dessert.
I believed Xiang tried to blink back his tears of joy. Or was I seeing things? *HAH!*
The whole process was simply...overwhelming. I didnt even know got such a dramatic scene loh!
Well done Hui and Ronny and staff of MYSG! =)
The 'birthday cake', which is actually 3 separate desserts put together: (from left) Brownie Mud Slice with ice-cream, Tiramisu, and Hot Date with vanilla ice-cream. I tell you, the Hot Date is simply beyond words. 10 thumbs-up from all of us. =)
With us being nicely fed and all, it's time for group photo to 'commemorate' the occasion. *AHAHAH*
Minmin, Xiang and me =)
Hui, me and Peimun =)
Darren and me =)
Xiang, me and Nelson =)
Peimun, Celes, me, Hui and Pauline =)
Hui, me and sexy Pauline =)
I'm trying to get the two seated gentlemen to sit closer. Notice how the birthday boy was preparing to pose already. *lolz*
Finally, we were ready to pose with...'twist'? Cute. =)
The painting's called Buddha and the Bowl, and it cost a whooping S$15,000 (unframed somemore loh)!!! And minmin? Priceless. *awwwww*
An artistic sculpture outside MYSG.
Us on the bench swing outside =)
My favourite pic of all... Everything's supposed to be black and white, but somehow, the cam can capture Hui's green blouse. Amazing.
That's all I have for now.
It has been a simple but wonderful dinner/night out with them.
But there's one huge flaw.
Tiong was not there with us. *SOB*
Training at Thailand, so he can come back and protect us and our country should there be a need arise. *hehs* I made him sound soooo patriotic.
So sad lah, Tiong...you missed out on a superb meal.
If I ever learn how to photoshop, I'll photoshop you inside all the pictures okie...
Just so you can have a false hope that you were there with us.
*AHAHAH*
I'm so mean.
Cos I dun think I'll ever pick up photoshopping skills.
*heehee*
Anyway, hope you enjoyed yourself on your once-in-a-lifetime day, Xiang!
Happy birthday!
=)

Lunch at T3.

Had lunch at T3 with Gary just now.
He had tuition at Pasir Ris, and asked me to recommend some nice food here.
But hor...I can't think of anything that's nice here. All I can think of is the food from Changi V.
And then he suggested airport.
So we drove there loh...
I finally got the chance to visit T3 since it has opened lor...
Was amazed by the design and all. It's soooo big!
My gosh, can't wait to hop on a plane and fly far far away!
Especially aft yesterday's 'flight'. *AHAHAH*
Saw many many SIA stewardesses, and I was actually keeping a lookout for Hydi, whom I havent seen her for ages!
She's one person whose life I'm sooooo envy of. Can travel here and there for free and still can earn big bucks somemore. *sigh* Tong ren bu tong ming arh~
Anyway...
I didnt see her lah..
She could be at any place right now. Maybe Egypt. Maybe US. Maybe Amsterdam. Or maybe even at home sleeping. *HA!*
Lunch at Crystal Jade was....okie lah.
My zha jiang mian was pretty tasty, but his fried noodles looked...pathetic. *HA!* The xiao long baos quite average. Our dessert? Bitter sweet. *bleah*
Shopped ard a bit, and we bought some candies/cookies/chocolates at Candy Empire!
Now I know there's a Candy Empire so near me...
Dun have to travel to Vivo or Suntec to get Starburst. *YAY!*
Okie...BeBe is being a spoiltbrat now.
Pestering me to bring her go gai gai.
*tsk tsk*

I flew today!!!! =)

3 Fs: Fly For Free!!!
All teachers, either existing or in the process of being one (like me) get to enjoy a FREE ride on the SINGAPORE FLYER in lieu of Teachers' Day!!!!
*woots!*
Of course must take full use of the rare chance right!
So me, Eleanor, Gary, Ivan and Zong Lun boarded the world's largest observation wheel, and it was sooooooooo much fun!
Eh, actually the ride was not really that fantastic/amazing/extraordinary.
It was the feeling of finally getting the opportunity to onboard this new addition to Singapore's landmark family, and of course, it was the company of friends that made the whole trip enjoyable.
Other than taking in the magnificent view of our lovely homeland (which is heavily contrasted with the ugly, on-going construction works for the upcoming IR), we took lots of photos, so much so that my cam batt died on me... :(
Thank goodness Ele brought an extra batt along (we have the same cam!)...
Anyway, kudos to Gary, who drove us there and made our lives much more easier... :)
We went in the evening, cos we wanna catch the sunset and the transition from day to dusk...
Crowd was quite big there, and guess who I saw?!?!
Huang Yi Liang, an ex-actor from MediaCorp... No big deal, right? Wait till you hear this...
After a short break at Popeyes, where we ate their biscuits (I miss the taste so much!), we walked to the ride entrance, and then we saw QI YU WU!!! (some call him 715) For your ignorance he's the lead actor in 881 and The 12 Lotus.
I was totally in shock (which I dunno why) so I kept hitting Eleanor's arm to tell myself that I'm not dreaming. *hehs*
I know it sounds like I'm a total fanatic fan of 715, but actually, I'm not. Just very excited upon seeing someone from the picture screen whom I used to admire. *HAHAHA*
We then saw him actually queueing up to buy tickets for the ride. Hmmm....seems pretty weird right... So a celebrity does not enjoy special privileges, huh?
Anyway, back to the ride.
We almost had the whole capsule to ourselves, cos there were only us and a mother and son. Shiok. Dun have to squeeze or fight for space to stand. Nice.
Let's enjoy the beautiful pictures I took... =)
(this one not included...*heehee*)
Up up UP we go!!!
ZL, Gary, Ivan, Eleanor and ME!!! =)
We belonged to Bart Simpson during FOC... *HA!*
This is the ugly contrast I'm referring to.
Eh...how to play soccer there? What if the ball gets kicked too high and landed into the river??
Someone 'spoilt' this wonderfully taken pic of mine. *hrmpf*
The sun is setting!!!
The sun's setting~
Taken by Eleanor, when we were about to land. I have to admit, it's a 'professional' shot.
So there goes 30 minutes of our lives, but I think it's worth the time... Plus it's complimentary! *heehee*
Next, Swensen's for dinner at MS. Had free sundaes too! *yummy* Kudos to Gary again.
And then we shopped around a bit for Ele's shoes...
I tell you, this friend of mine can wear her sandals until they broke, and twice were with me!
I remembered the first time I had to ask around for a rubber band while she stood on the spot (cos couldnt walk!), so she could tie her foot to the broken sandals together.
Then the second time was when we were walking, and it snapped. Luckily I had my own rubber band (the one used to tie hair, not those red ones) if not she wouldnt make it home. *hehs*
Saw several nice sandals, but not those that are love in first sight kind. So she didnt buy.
And that was that.
So the main point of this post is to tell you people...that I flew today. *HAH*

It's our DAY!!!

HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Received one special sms from someone whom I would never ever have dreamt of receiving an sms from. *hahah*
Thanks, Pauline!!!!
Forwarded that lovely msg to some of my NIE mates, cos I want them to feel as touched as me.
So yup!
And Eleanor even bought me some chocolates as a Teacher's Day gift!!! *awwww* So sweet of her...
And our English lecturer got the whole lecture group some M&Ms each. *AWWWW* So sweeeeeet of him...
Okie, enough.
Just dropping by to say what I have said.
Back to my moral essay, which I can't seem to finish it!!!
It's 8.00PM already, and I'm still in school!!!!!!!!!
*tsk tsk tsk*
But I'm not alone! *heehee*
