Getting up and about...

*cough cough*
Right. I'm still not well. Yet.
Still coughing and sniffing away, but it's better than the past two days...
Those days were so tong ku lor!
Can't sleep well at night... Other than the annoying heaty weather, my blocked nose + coughing spells kept me from having sweet dreams as well... *sianz*
And I can't go out too. *double sianz*
Spent most of the time in drowsiness due to all the medicine (which wasnt veri effective)... and when I'm perfectly awake, it's either playing mahjong online or watching VCDs (not veri keen to invest in DVDs...yet) or eat, though appetite wasnt veri good...
BUT still, you know wad I mean...
I mean, I felt tat my 'holidays' were wasted lor!
They are meant for me to haf fun, go shopping, enjoy my fake tai tai life, and more shopping...
Staying at home for two straight days in a row? Wad a goner.
I missed playing badminton with Hui & Xiang...
I missed swimming...
I missed jogging in my new NIKE shoes...
I missed all my EXERCISES!!!
(Ya I know exercising when you are ill is a suicidal act, tks Lester for his advice and Mom for her nagging, and being a good gal, I dint exercise AT ALL, thank you very much...)
Anyhow, I'm not realli ostracizing the freedom and pleasure of nua-ing at home, BUT I REALLI NEED TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR SOME FRESH AIR!!!!
Which comes back to today's mini outing...
*hahahz*
Met up with Tiong, Xiang, Hui n Celes for a tea-time sushi buffet at Sakae @ CS...
I guess seeing my frenz (or perhaps it's the soft shell crab?) improves my appetite greatly...
Had a great laugh listening to Tiong's army stories... He's so suay lor! So fast dio guard duty le... Tat's why we had to meet earlier today, coz he's booking in tonight... *sigh* He looks so sianz, but I think he's handling it well lahz... Jia you, Tiong! See ya nx Fri at BMTC (hopefully!) okie dokie?? :)
Aniwae, nx week, as in 7 more days, is Xiang's turn le... I think he made a mistake by telling us tat he's got FIVE tix to bring his family or friends to tekong... coz Celes kept insisting tat she wanna go and she must go... *hahahz* Dunno why she's so adamant of going... But I guess it'll be realli a treat if we could all go...
So Xiang, it's up to you le... faster confirm wif your parents okie! And dun forget me oso~! *heehee*
Anyhow, sushi was great, and the company better...
I left them to meet up with XY...
As usual, TM was crowded with shoppers, and even more crowded becoz of the Hokkaido Fair...
Wah lau.
It's damn packed and squeezy can! People's butts were kissing one another juz to get from one end to the other. *roll eyes*
Wad's so great about the fair man? It's only juz some wai guo huo (foreign goods) from Japan, need to be so crazziee over it mehz?? *diaoz*
You realli can see the kiasuism burning in those aunties' eyes... They were looking out for samplings and more samplings, buying wadever others were buying... all in the attitude of "I can't lose out to others!!" *shakes head* It's tat bad, juz imagine.
I'm not referring to XY lahz, whose main purpose of gg TM was the fair itself... although she did buy TEN butter manju cakes, red bean flavour (you know, Doraemon's favourite dessert?) after queuing for like, 20 mins??
I'm not sure if it's tat nice, so I dint buy it... and I think my parents wont eat it, so buy for wad?
But from the looks of it and the number of ppl lining up, I think it shld be edible.
Aniwae, I think the Hokkaido Fair overpriced their stuff horribly... In my humble opinion, I think some of them dun even cost the labelled price (izzit due to the 7%??)... But still, ppl go ga-ga over it... *shruggz*
While lining up for her manju cakes:
Me: "Wait for 8 more years, then we can juz fly to Japan and buy freely..."
XY: "Ya lor, ya lor..."
*** *** ***
After cooping myself up at home for two straight days in a row, it's time for shopping!!
Well, not realli shopping as in shopping lahz... Juz walking ard... I mean, wad's there to shop at TM???
Went to MNG @ Isetan, and man, they marked down their prices for the third time... It seemed like every single piece of clothing muz go or sth...
Bought a pair of white berms, which cost only $22!!! *muahahaz* Wad a deal.

After finally owning it, I realised tat I've got several white bottoms tat are currently being stashed inside my wardrobe... But wadever, I need a pair of berms, preferably in white... and I got it!!! *cheers* So happie worz...

Headed back to WS to collect this:

*wahahahz* Princess Hours VCD!!!! Finally, after sooooooo long, it's mine!!! Can't wait to start the adventure of playing the first disc and getting hooked... Juz hope tat my DVD player won't explode like the previous one from over-running it... *fingers crossed*
Juz to side-track a bit...
I think I'm a person who prefers to watch old shows/reruns rather than the latests... Even though I've watched tat particular movie/drama before, I'd still be willing to watch all over again, on the condition tat it's worth watching lahz, of course...
Take for instance, Protege. I watched it yesterday, and somehow, I learnt to understand and appreciate the film better than the first time I had seen it.
There was this scene where Andy Lau was finally caught by the cops, and his wife, played by Anita Yuen, came to see him at the station... She told him the only way out is for him to leave so the police can't find out his other partners in crime from him, and tat'll ensure their safety...
At first I dint think much of this statement... I thot she was telling him to plan an escape route out of prison or sth...
Who knows, he commited suicide by slashing his throat with a broken piece of tile of the toilet wall after his wife left...
When I watched again, I suddenly realise the meaning behind her words... Wad she meant was to ask her husband to silence himself so he would never need to confess anything to the police, and those triads or mafia would never hurt his family for betraying them...
The impact of this sudden understanding caused me to write this much, so pardon me for it...
But wad I'm trying to say tat I love watching shows tat I've watched before...
So does anyone has Titantic, Armagaedon and Black Hawk Down vcd?? *heeheez*
Coming back...
Bought a cute little black pouch at Aries... thought it'd be nice to house my toiletries when I go to camp nx nx nx week...

After shopping, we ate at mac... And WS gonna have a McCafe!!! Cool! Another hangout for us... *heeheez*
Was about to leave when sth amusing happened...
A staff auntie from mac thought I'm an Indonesian, and she made tt clear to me...
*ROLL EYES SEVERELY*
Where do I, from hair roots to pinkie toe nail, look like I'm from Indonesia???
Juz becoz I left my seat at the same time of some exotic-looking Asian kiddies sitting beside us, I look like one of them?!?!?
*heart attack*
Which brings me to the topic of mistaking one's identity...
(I know it's a long post, and i've been writing loads, but since I dint blog for two days, juz let me be...)
Once, there's dis Prudential lady, as usual, wanted me to invest in some saving plans, and started making small chats with me... Since I was waiting for bus, I entertained her lor...
Pru-gal, in a high-pitched voice, acting cute: "You dun look like a local leh!"
Me, in a low tone, turn-off upon hearing tat: "Oh yeah?"
Pru-gal, continued in her high-pitched voice: "Ya lor! You look like a Vietnamese!"
*ROARZ*
Gave her a piss-off look, and almost swore in front of her face.
Another time, and I swear this was the worst ever, was when I was mistaken as a PRC by an annoying uncle can!!!!! Wah lau eh. I almost wanted to slap him coz the word 'pervert' was written all over his mo-beng face, but I refrained from doing so coz I'm afraid my hand would rot...
*whole body shaking*
Somebody kill me can??? Can't believe it lor...
For the record, I'M A PURE SINGAPOREAN WITH A PINK I/C OKIE!!!!
*grrrrzzz*
Okie. I've made my point. Tks for scrolling ur mouse until here...
Really appreciate it.
Goodbye and Goodnite...
Period.
Fullstop.
Ta-daaaaaa.
p/s: I think my sickness is cured lehz! My nose isnt blocked and my coughing has stopped miraculously worz!!! Amazing. *muahahahz*
